Your privacy is important to us. Founder is built to help photographers manage their business while keeping their information secure and protected.

Founder collects only the information required to create and manage your account, such as your name, email address, and the information you choose to add while using the platform.
The information you provide is used to operate Founder, improve the platform, and provide a better experience for photographers.
Your clients’ information belongs to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train any model. Our admin tools do not display it either — not names, phone numbers, booking details, or your conversations with clients; none of it passes through the administrative side of the platform. There is one case where data is sent to a third party, described in the section below, and it happens only when you choose to use that feature.
We understand how important your business information is. Founder is designed with security and reliability in mind to help keep your information safe and protected.
Payments are processed through trusted third-party payment providers. Founder does not store or retain any payment card information.
When you use the screenshot reader, your phone reads the text in the image on the device itself, and that text — not the image — is sent to a third-party language service (OpenAI) to extract the booking details from it. That text may include a client’s name, phone number and event details. If your phone cannot read the image, the app asks your permission before sending the picture itself. Nothing is saved to your account until you have reviewed the fields and confirmed them, and you can leave this feature unused entirely: everything it fills in can be typed by hand.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes everything in the account — bookings, clients, expenses, contracts, messages and notifications — and we keep no copy afterwards. If you would like to keep a copy of your work first, you can export it from Settings → Export data. We keep your data for as long as your account exists; when it is deleted, the data is deleted with it.
At any time you can view and correct your data from inside the app, export a copy of it as CSV, or delete your account and everything in it. We use service providers to run the platform — MongoDB Atlas for the database, Cloudinary for images, Render for hosting, Namecheap Private Email for email, and OpenAI for the screenshot reader when you use it — and none of them use your data for any other purpose. FOUNDER is a business tool for professional photographers and is not intended for anyone under 16; we do not knowingly collect their data.
Founder is continuously evolving, with regular improvements and new features added based on photographers' needs and feedback.
